In 2019 Claudio Collova’, Alessandra Luberti and Miriam Palma three Sicilian artists who work with experimental music and contemporary dance and theatre, finally met to achieve a dream.

LThey bought with own funds an old carpenter’s building, placed in one of the most suggestive and central district in Palermo, piazza Magione, bordering with the monumental Gothic Church of Spasimo, to create an open space for starting creative process, study, projecting and ready to welcome guest and performing artists. A new space of work and meeting in the City of Palermo, able to create a feeling of community with a shared future. This is what Area Madera will be.

Although the pandemia, with the consequent closing of theatres, Area Madera artists have never stopped to invest their money to go on. Now our dream can become true and real, but we need people strength and support.

This campaign of crowdfunding can make us not to feel alone.We need to safeguard some parts of the building, urgent property renovation which we can face only with your help.

We ask to those who feel close to this project and believe art is still, today more than ever, an essential part of our life, to support us. We will do what is necessary to ensure the Area Madera project is successful.
